“What have I gotten myself into?!” What a loaded question.

And to be totally honest with you, I don’t know! But then again, there are a lot of things I don’t know. And more important than the unknowns, are the things I do know.

I know that in about 8 months, I’ll be embarking on the World Race, a crazy wonderful 11-month missions trip where I will spend one month in each of 11 different countries. I know that during the trip, I’ll get to partner with a team of incredible people and work alongside local churches and ministries to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution because of human trafficking, and spread God’s love to people all over the world. As of now, the countries I’ll be going to include: Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay/Argentina, Cambodia, Thailand, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Uganda.

One of the most challenging parts of doing the World Race is facing the ginormous obstacle of raising the funds for the entire eleven months. That’s $18,017, and honestly, I’m intimidated by it. But that’s ok, because venturing beyond your comfort zone is how growth happens. And I know I have a lot of love and support from friends, family, and brothers and sisters in Christ!

And if you would like to come alongside what God is doing and support this journey, one way you can help is by making a financial contribution. (there’s a link to my donation page to the left). Another critical way to contribute is by praying for me, for the other participants, for Adventures in Missions (the organization that runs the World Race), and for the missionaries all over the world.

Now, I don’t know what each day is going to look like… But I do know that each day I get to build a little part of God’s kingdom here on earth.

I don’t know where I’m going to succeed, or where I’m going to fail… But I know that God will go before me, and he knows all things, and works all things for the good of those that love him.

I don’t know exactly what God will do with those coming eleven months… But I know he’ll do something beautiful.
