UPDATE: Things are finally happening!!
Tonight I fly out to Atlanta, Georgia, for the beginning of Training Camp!
I’ll be in Georgia for 10 days to get to know the people I’ll be doing life and ministry with for the next year, and get missionary training, intercultural training, and more details and logistics about my trip.
I’m feeling super excited, but I don’t think that this whole living-out-of-a-backpack-for-a-year thing has sunk in yet. There are so many things I have to look forward to: new lifelong friendships, a year full of travel and adventure, and most importantly, getting to take part in building God’s kindgom by serving and loving people all over the world.
But now that I’m only a little over a month away from Launch, I’m also feeling more anxious about it. There are so many things I’ll miss- my family especially- and it’s just crazy to me that the time to leave is almost here.
Please be praying for safe travels for me and for my squadmates as we travel to Georgia, and that God would open our hearts to fully experience all that He has waiting for us at Training Camp.
