I’ve been on the World Race for just over two months now, and I’ve noticed that everyday life looks a little bit different than it does at home in countless ways. Here are some things that I thought were especially interesting. Enjoy.

1. The status of your bowels is a normal topic of conversation.

2. Laundry is easily done with hand soap in the sink or a large pot.

3. Packing 8 people into a Sedan is actually possible.

4. Swimming in whatever clothes you’re currently wearing is perfectly acceptable.

5. Your feet are never actually clean. Ever.

6. You get better at math from all those currency calculations.

7. Snacks are GOLD.

8. Plans change literally one minute before you’re supposed to leave for ministry.

9. Peanut butter and really good wi-fi are like buried treasure: they’re what everyone is looking for, but only a few ever actually find them.

10. You can wear the same shirt 4 times a week and no one cares, because they’re doing exactly the same thing.

I’m now in Bolivia, and yet again, life looks different here than anywhere I’ve been so far. Ministry this month is working with rehabilitation centers in the city of El Alto, just outside of La Paz and sits at 13,000 feet.

Many of my teammates have been dealing with altitude sickness, so please keep all of us in your prayers!
